REGEN FESTIVAL
A Celebration of the Built Environment
REGEN FESTIVAL is a new kind of science fair—exploring the systems that make our cities work. From industry, energy, water, buildings, materials, transportation, and urban agriculture to emerging technologies and the future of work, REGEN reveals the life cycle of the built environment from city life to community centers—and asks how we can redesign, rebuild, and regenerate it for future generations.
Exploring the urban metabolism of a low-pollution city.
Hosted at South Seattle Community College: Georgetown Campus, REGEN FESTIVAL transforms the Puget Sound Industrial Excellence Center Apprenticeship & Education Center into a community learning hub.
REGEN is an exploration of the entire life cycle of the built environment—where our materials and resources come from, how we design and build, how energy and water move through our communities, how we move people and goods, how buildings and infrastructure are operated and maintained, and what happens when systems reach the end of their useful life.
From industry, energy, water, buildings, materials, transportation, and urban agriculture to manufacturing, emerging technologies, circular systems, and the future of work, REGEN makes these often-hidden systems visible.
